Plantar Fasciitis Rehab – Mulligan Taping
Check out a simple taping method to help you recover from Plantar Fasciitis!
Today we are going to show you another variation of taping that provides a secondary support to your posterior tibialis tendon which is the muscle responsible for raising your arch. This tape job is very simple & effective and can be modified in various ways to adjust for excessive forefoot pronation or abnormal positions of your heel.
To perform this tape job you should:
1. Place a piece of coverall (base strip) across the middle of your arch to the back of your heel
2. Provide tension in the leukotape by placing the far end underneath the arch and pull backwards towards your heel
3. Dependent on how you lay this piece of tape, you can adjust for forefoot, midfoot, and hindfoot abnormalities
4. That’s it! Nice and straight forward!
Give this method a try yourself or ask your athletic trainer/physical therapist to apply this tape job to help you recover from Plantar Fasciitis!
